Stonehill Domains is a “Domain of One’s Own” pilot project sponsored by the Digital Innovation Lab at Stonehill College and Stonehill’s Information Technology department. Beginning in September 2016 and continuing until August 2018, members of the College community of Stonehill are eligible to request access to a subdomain within (URL).

Stonehill Domains is maintained by the Stonehill College Digital Innovation Lab in partnership with Information Technology. Stonehill College students and faculty are eligible to apply for sign up on the system.

The Stonehill Domains pilot is designed to allow users to explore and experiment with web publishing and developing an academic and professional digital identity. Users understand that Stonehill College may remove any content that is found to be in violation of any laws, policies, or standards.

The cost of Web hosting (within stated storage quotas, currently 500MB/user) is covered by Stonehill College during the duration of the pilot project, but cannot be guaranteed beyond August 2018. If Stonehill Domains does not continue beyond this date, users will receive notification no later than June 30, 2018 that access will be discontinued. Detailed information will be emailed to you explaining how to migrate hosted material and sites to a new hosting service. Should a user decide to migrate a site, the user will bear the cost and responsibility associated with transfer.
